    I've got an Amex question - do the shops have to be registered on the Amex shop small map?

    I've got 5 + One stops near me but only 1 of them is showing up?

    Yep don't take the risk, they should be on the map if they are participating.

    If you went inside & saw the Shop Small literature ( a few counter things) then that would be enough to give it a go.

    Otherwise DON'T!

    I went past one Spar in Foxhole (nice name) on my way to Spar in St Dennis but gave it a very clear MISS.

    Sorry for asking a direct question that you or others may consider impertinent/ rude - but it's not intended that way and just don't answer if it's a bad question, I'm not drunk or anything. It's a question, nothing else.

    How long have you got? Is there a range? Is there a chance you might recover? I remember you said it was an aggressive cancer, people have often survived far, far longer than doctors expected.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    a bloody long time I hope squills. I'm not on my deathbed although it feels like it some days. I made the decision to have a stem cell harvest for a future stem cell transplant that I will need. I might even be young enough to fit 2 stem cell transplants in, body permitting.

    A lot of my negativity is coming from how gruelling the treatment is and getting my head around the fact I have something that is 'incurable' that messes with your head. it's only a word but it's a BIG word. My body has been letting me down as far as treatment is concerned but that should turn around soon. My drama queen tendencies don't help. I have moments of absolute hysteria......as my good friends on here will tell you.

    Don't apologise for mentioning it. I wish more people would. I have a disease that no one has heard of. I've even talked to people who tell me they hope 'I'm better soon'. I was as ignorant as most up until recently but I'm quickly learning that blood/bone marrow cancers are around and they're relentless. So I'm afraid you'll have to put up with me for the foreseeable :p

    But we won't manage that this time as no space, it'll get packed into hand baggage I guess with a couple of ice blocks which I'll leave in the car. Should still arrive chilled as a frozen big joint doesn't thaw easily.[/QUOTE]

    I take frozen meat in my hand luggage, usually make sure it is well frozen, then only take it out last minute before leaving and put it in one of those silver lined bags, never have any probs with security, although I always mention it...take bacon,sausages and cheese too ...as its EU there are no restrictions only the liquids so that is ok (dont take gravy or tins they are a no no) x

    I take bacon for OH and vegy sausages for me (can never find them in Spain), only once have I been asked about them, but never had them taken off me :)
    I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

    Evening, thats the spirit ....my aunt was diagnosed as terminal when she had a small son. They gave her less than six months but she survived to see him married and divorced and wed a second time.....never say never xxxx
    I remember once she joked that she had seen several Macmillan nurses retire and had a record amount of chemo.
