1x M & M's Chocolate (165G) £2.00 £1.00
1x Tetley Original 240 Tea Bags (240PK) £3.00 £2.37
Only looks good on the M&Ms because A is high price. I'm amazed that people buy at £2, when I assume they aren't doing targetted shops. Unless it was you buying and comparing.
In the past - many years ago now when I hadn't thought about the PG - I would just buy them at the cheapest place. If they wanted £2 for a pouch of chocolates, I wouldn't buy them. In fact I probably wouldn't shop around but just remain loyal to my nearest superstore (which, back then, was Mr A) and would I suspect end up picking them up if they were £1 r'back. I never used to check the APG. Then someone found T DTD price check, told me how good it was (it was paying you to take away or most things were free) and how to do a shop - and it immediately clicked with me!:D Been targetting ever since.
Price of £1 or even 90p net. for 165g is real expensive given that there were some Hallowe'en 300g pouches at £1 just after Hallowe'en. That's when I stocked up for the next year - they are absolutely fine, long-dated and as I've said before the product inside is probably the very same thing, only a lot more for the same price. You've had cinema tickets and goodness knows what in the past.
Is this comparison, on the Tetley in particular, from a shop done on Tuesday (8th)? Or is it from some earlier date? TIA.
It's getting late anyway now and it's Morrisons again tomorrow - see what I find - msm is telling me about some Rankin soda farls that have apparently gone to 65p in M (maybe only today?) that my first and second store weren't showing on Monday so they didn't alert me to be looking any further for something that I did not know to be looking for. I shall put that down on my checks for tomorrow and have a look!
Some of the 1L alcohol bottles have changed around - I had three going up to full prices, others still on and a couple or so joining them - pleased that m.com was completely in accordance with what I had ended up with from store! So, my collection appears to be working:rotfl:. I may be ending White & MacKay properly if the stores can show an offer on that tomorrow. Bye for now - see you later!:wave:0 -

I'm laid up and have been for a couple of days. Low platelet count. Nosebleeds and outrageous bruises from minor brushes with appliances and stuff.
Not a huge bargain for most but might be of interest to those with a handbag fetish£118 for a bag isn't cheap but it's not bad if you like the bag which retails here for between £220-£250 and slightly less if you buy from Macy's.
Massively reduced and a code on the page for 25% off but only available in 2 colours. The rest are full price.

Nice bags and quality but I just don't like the designer name plastered over the fronttoo overstated for me. my daughter does however and I've bought her the purple one. Qualifys for free shipping and on past experience, I've had stuff from Macy's in around a week.
Also Agent Provocateur purse spray for a decent price.

not cheap cheap I know, but sometimes special presents aren't. these are my last 2 presents. I'm not happy about being forced into being organised but I am *sigh* I prefer the last minute adrenalin rush.0 -

You know, I thought the same - I was almost ready to forward a copy of the post to Devon and Cornwall Police:D:eek:. I don't think there is anything sinister though. I hope not.0 -

Sorry for asking a direct question that you or others may consider impertinent/ rude - but it's not intended that way and just don't answer if it's a bad question, I'm not drunk or anything. It's a question, nothing else.
How long have you got? Is there a range? Is there a chance you might recover? I remember you said it was an aggressive cancer, people have often survived far, far longer than doctors expected.0 -

I am sure some of you have spotted this, but M have sold most of their M Locals to an entrpreneur and they have been rebranded as My Local - blink and you would miss the difference to the signs.

You do wonder how M as a large retailer with their buying power and supposed skills in buying and selling could not turn a profit from this market and exit this model after a few years, yet another company sees sufficient opportunity to buy it up (at a significant loss to M admittedly) but they must have done the sums as otherwise you would think they would keep clear, as would any finance behind them (and the £1bn supply deal with Nisa!). They obviously believe in it as they have even re-opened 10 that M closed too.

I've got an Amex question - do the shops have to be registered on the Amex shop small map?
I've got 5 + One stops near me but only 1 of them is showing up?0 -

Q old news but I guess it was mgt team getting out of loss-making elements to the business - for a defined hit on the P&L - so that they can focus on the big job, competing with their bigger outlets. Ie get rid of an unnecessary distraction that was never likely to contribute much to the bottom line anytime soon.
Of course, all ex-M Locals are likely to be in excellent locations and anybody with a flair for what makes a convenience store good should be able to make them work.0 -

Good question, sorry I don't know - you would think they would all be included so why aren't they on the map? That said, when we looked at Spar yesterday only a few are included in patches around the UK which suggests they may have to opt in?
