Did you (Harryhfp) or didn't you?
Tesco direct messaged to say my black friday laptop is on its way to store. I guess its walking very slowly, because it is going to take 4 days to reach the store.
In fairness they did state across their website that due to unprecedented demand deliveries would take 5-7 days (from memory). Of course nothing unprecedented about it, they just didn't get sufficient resources put in place!

DD has battery operated string lights in her bedroom for at night. I bought a pack of 4 rechargeable batteries from the pound shop and recharge them when necessary. If they are led like DD they usually need charging every 10 days or so. I guess you could always try them for a couple of days and return them if you aren't happy with them...
I looked everywhere for owl plug in ones but could only find them on eBay coming from China. Mr Monkey didn't like that idea ...0 -
Morning everyone!savvy,
thanks for mentioning the iron tablets in M, will have a look later in the week.
I priced them up in my local chemist who quoted £23 for a pot of 100!!
If you are after a good iron supplement I can recommend Spatone. It's basically sachets of iron-rich water but really works. I don't know how it works but totally sorted my anaemia out when nothing could for years. Amazon sells it cheap.0 -
Read this, I had a similar problem when making my xmas cake a couple of years ago, opened the flour and they shot everywhere!!!
Was told that they feed on the glue on the packaging, under the flaps on cereal boxes, tucked on the glue in the folds on bags of flour, even on the edges of tea bags!!!
I was told that they also thrive under labels on tinned foods and to remove all labels from tins before storing, but thought this a bit too much.
I now empty flour into plastic food bags with a zip seal, plus empty all cereals into plastic storage containers.
HTH
Off for a catch up.....
Thanks for this, I'm going to investigage further in my cupboard! :eek:0 -
mhoc,
Please can I ask, when you sold your item on eb, for the extra 2000 nectar points how do you know if the offer has gone through correctly, as I sold my item as instructed but there is no mention of the points anywhere on the site?
tia
Same here, its a bit of a limbo land. I did message them but I just got the standard wait 28 day reply. I reckon my 2000 should go into the account by the 4th of December - I listed and sold an item in 3 days after we got the email“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

in all honesty if you have boobed and overparked and the fine is reasonable, is it really worth the stress of hours of time trying to find a way out of paying it? The days of illegal parking fines are practically gone. Most, if not all of the companies that operate on supermarket or shopping centre carpaks these days have been made legit by a series of court rulings.
if they put a sign up and you don't read it, it will be hard to deem the fine unfair. that's just my opinion. I don't like less free parking either but as with everything in life, ignorance isn't an excuse anymore
It's not so hard for BPA members tickets to be beaten. (don't name the driver appeal to popla citing non compliance with POFA and/or lack of authority).
For IPC members it's impossible to win at appeal for any reason.
Supermarkets are actually the worst offenders as people are more likely to visit twice in a short time and the ANPR can't handle these and issue tickets for 1 continuous stay. "double dip"
In general though most tickets are issued because people parked incorrectly. Just a pity that 6 Lords changed the law whilst the other felt they were completely wrong and the matter should have been referred to Europe when he said the matter was "not acte clair"0
