On a different note I want to get elf on a shelf or something similar has anyone seen anything like that? I', not paying £30 for one!

They had some lovely elves at the cardfactory shop which were just right for elf on a shelf, only £2.99 I think, (may have been cheaper). They also had the dvd reduced to £3 in Tosco.
I have had one living in the boot of my car waiting for December 1st!:rotfl:[/QUOTE]

Excellent. I think there is a card factory in blackwood

Interesting fact about Sainsbob...if you ever have to exchange something you get the full value of points for the new goods put on your card. eg exchange something for £40 for something else for £40 and you get 40 points on a £0.00 transaction

    Boots do this too.

I received a birthday gift which was from there, took it back with no receipt, they said go get goods to the value, so I did that, but they did not prompt me for my advantage card, nor did I think to offer it at the till. They gave me a receipt detailing the new purchases less the amount of the refund, with only a few pence to pay.

In the car, I checked the receipt, and it said I could have had 80 advantage points on this transaction, so I popped back in and they tried to scan receipt but failed, so they added them manually.

Interesting, as if it had scanned properly, or if I had produced my advantage card at the point of getting the replacement purchases, I probably would have achieved extra points from a conditional category spend offer which I had preloaded onto my card the week before. I just didn't think.

Still, it is something to bear in mind if exchanging anything in the holiday period.

    xx
