Thank you. You missed the key piece of information - £9.99 (not £15 it was yesterday) on a Lightening Deal.

I reported yesterday, NowTV with 6 months entertainment or 4 months Movies is £19.99 (4 entertainment and 2 movies was £15) so entertainment is even better value today as but 2 for 8 months entertainment.

Sainsburys has the Now TV box for £15 with various different options, 3 months entertainment, 2 months movies, 2 days sport - if I remember correctly. Not as good as the Amazon deal unless you have to pay postage.

Hugs FC (and you know I don't usually do hugs!):)

One day down and counting before your treatment finishes.

It is difficult to rest when you are not used to doing so, but just do what your body wants to and accept it is the right thing to do.

As you are feeling hungry, on our next trip to A. let's have a huge breakfast, as well as copious amounts of coffee!!:D:D

    Sending love to FC xxx

I would love to pig out on a huge breakfast as well, but the baked beans need to be piping hot:rotfl:

I had an mri last weekend. Are you claustrophobic? If so it might be a problem as the scanner has a tube that you go into. I'm not so didn't bother me at all luckily.

Machine is very loud, it's the magnets doing their thing. They did give me headphones but it didn't help!

It does take quite a long time, as they do lots of different angles and stuff (you just lie there). Mine was about half an hour. The worst thing for me was lying still and having to lie with my arms above my head. I ended up with pins and needles in my arms and a stiff neck. It was fine though.

I've had ct scans as well, they're much quicker. However I'm normally injected with dye which makes you lot and also gives you the sensation of wetting yourself. However, over relatively fast. So pros and cons to both.

If I hadn't have got pins and needles I'd probably have dropped off in the mri!

oh thanks :D I thought it was you. I'm told it'll take 90 mins to do my whole body. I had gathered it's noisy but all I'm worried about is needing a wee :o I've been religiously downing my 3/4 litres a day and don't go many half hours throughout the day without weeing. :rotfl::rotfl: I might have to hold back on the water and catch up later in the day. I don't want anyone having to deal with puddles :o :rotfl:

FC the best thing I found to prepare for my MRI was to watch videos of what would be happening - there's plenty available on line. I would have been totally unprepared for how noisy it is otherwise. I didn't know how I would cope with it being claustrophobic so I closed my eyes as I went in and resisted the temptation to peek, so have no idea how close anything was. My GP gave me a prescription for one Valium tablet in case I thought I would get too anxious about it but I was fine without it and was "inside" for about 25 minutes. Very best wishes x

Busy day today, was photographers assistant at DGD's Christmas fair, taking the pics of Father Christmas and the children. Then stocked up on some wine. :rotfl: It helped to keep my mind slightly off of this day a year ago. :( The nursing care home that my Dad is in have asked me to complete an end of life plan for him. Difficult decisions/choices to make.:(
Well done on stocking up on wine, MKS:T
I don't envy the decisions you have to make:(

  • FC I have had a couple of MRI scans, they are very noisy, like people hammering on a metal pipe with you inside listening.
I am sure you will cope fine xx
