  • Re the BG shops, I done a shop tonight, the total was £33, the BG automatically took £9 odd off and then when I scanned my £6 off £30 it wasn't accepted as I hadn't spent enough.

I think if that happened to me I would challenge it at CS, after all it is not our fault their prices are too high!

Di that was the same as my DSis ..but she was 65 when she had her Chemo and if my memory serves me right you are not able to dye it for 6mths after chemo finishes unless you use a natural colouring which you can get in the health shop I believe..

I mostly seem to be muttering to myself so that means its time to stop avoiding the To Do list - nice surprise to find the calendar has nothing on it this morning so in theory the house should be scrubbed and the To Do list tackled by lunch time - as if that is ever going to happen :rotfl:

I have to do my holiday washing (a lot of very cheap sales clothes that were probably tried on a thousand times before I bought them :(), going to try to take advantage of the breeze and put them out to dry. Then I have to start cleaning, like to leave the house clean to come home to:D Housesitter will maintain it at the level it will be at, will only require a quick hoover round for her.

I don't mind it being white but DD who is 20 is horrified:rotfl:

  • Good morning all. Barney has abated, but has only done so temporarily, I see we are due another 4 hour blast of mega strong winds late afternoon and evening.

Good news is the cidre 3 for £5 has rolled over at T's online till 8th Dec.

that is exactly the situation I thought might happen and it will annoy the **** out of normal everyday muggle shoppers who are getting conditional spends in the post but find that when they do their normal weekly shop they wont have spent enough
    - there will be a lot of cussing and "what is the point" at the tills when they cant get their heads around it.

Then tills will be held up while the OH is sent to find something to take totals over the required amount

...and then the thing they buy is cheaper in Ts than elsewhere thus reducing the BG and the shopping total increases by more than the cost of the item they picked up!

  • Good morning

Hope you all stayed safe out of Barneys way last night..
I'm so glad the wind has stopped.... Or at least slowed down it was a bit scary last night:eek:

I had a dilemma... I've not had any conditional spends for ages and then in the space of a week I've got £6 off £30 at W, £3 off £20 in t and 3000 points off £30 in m...

I was planning on going to t...as it's far nearer than a 30min drive to the nearest w but morries has kindly sent me an email with 8000 points if I spend £40 which they've linked to my match n more card so I only need to scan it instore...

So now I'm thinking do a m shop hoping the actual paper moc will also work with the linked one or am I expecting too much do we think?? ;)
    11000 points on a £40 shop....
    I've 3 cider mocs left
And I could get a few cashback bits too
    Need bread, milk etc

Need to write a list of things I actually need...

Have a great day ttfn x

    inevitable

Often when I've got a conditional spend I get something like a set of 6 cans of Tesco cat food and I leave them on a shelf close to the tills so if I have a maths fail and my bill goes below the total OH can rush back and get the back up item - he is briefed as to what it is and where :D

but this strategy would not work now if you suddenly found yourself £9 below - it really needs a maths degree to do a !!!!!! shop and use a conditional spend now
