Overlimit on statement date but green light on credit file?

So I stupidly went over my balance on statement date with Barclaycard due to interest. Anyway they refunded the £12 fee and told me it would be reported on my file, but said it 'wouldn't be negative as the payment wasn't missed?!'
now on my file it simply shows the over limit balance (basically the £12 fee) but it's a green light, as in 'payments all fine'.
How is this viewed by companies viewing my file? I realise this is negative within BC's internal, but does this outwardly show as a negative?

Fairly minor.
Much like late payments its impact will lessen over time, likely a few months rather than years.0 -
There is no late payment marker and a balance slightly over credit limit.
I assume you IMMEDIATELY made a payment to reduce the balance below the credit limit.
Overall, the fact that you are obviously using a credit card almost right up to its limit will be a much greater ongoing negative factor than this presumably isolated incident.
My advice is to do your very best to bring down the balance on this card.0 -
aaaah yep, I miscalculated by one day (as I've never has a statement calculated on the day they say it will be, always 3-4 days later) and logged on the app of that morning to double check balance and saw it and was like 'FECCCCCCCCK'. Then cleared a huge chunk as it was payday.
When I phoned them later he explained its usually 15 or 18 working days from statement date? then he gave me the date of the next one which was wrong as it was calculated the day after.
So I'm just going to stay ahead of the 'earliest date' from now on.0
