Training is fixed to the dates used as that is when the training staff is online, your working hours will be very different unless you have already been told what they are. If your hours are not what you would like then make sure you let Teletech know as they may be able to change them if you tell them soon enough but if not then don't worry as shift bids occur quite regularly if the client requires changes to staffing levels etc and then you can apply for new shifts etc.

the teletech location close to where i am in the US allows you to bid on shifts according to your social security #.

for example, after your training is complete, you can then bid on your shifts. if your social# starts with a "1", then you would have the option to choose before someone who starts with a '2'.

this is how it works at the call center, not sure if the same for @home. hopefully, as i start with a '1'! :T
  • I had my interview with Amy on Monday and she said she would let me know the outcome in three working days but I haven't heard anything yet.

I don't think I'll get it as I did tell her I'm not available certain times as I have another job. She did say I specifically needed to be available Fridays from 3pm, which I'm not.

Have to say Amy was really nice.

no idea, just wish they would hurry up.if anyone has any updates then let us know
Ok I just gotta call! She reminded me this position is very techical (That actually scares the hell out of me! Am I realy suitable :-s)

She confirmed it is for a big broadband supplier in the UK that I would definately know.

The training hours are just that shift hours will be confirmed at the end of training.

We are asked to think it over over the weekend as to whether this is a good fit and whether we are really ok with working easter.

I now have to fill ot a form and email back before Monday with reference details. 2 professional and 2 personal but the personal ones must not be family or friends. How can the be personal if they aren't friends? How the hell am I to get 4 ! Eeeek.

Anyone else gotta call/email today?? She also asked if I had the workbooth cd yet which I said no I hadn't. Has anyone else?

It is a technical position BUT a lot of training is given and then you are also supported by more experienced staff during your shift, you are never alone without help unless you want to be. Also you have a number of tools at your disposal and a very easy to follow online guide to use during calls that is your main diagnostic tool. If you can read from the screen, keep your concentration level up, not get flustered and use common sense you will have no problems at all.
Also don't worry about the CD, as long as it arrives before you finish training you will be ok as it isn't relied upon for a large portion of the training period.

I haven't heard anything at all. I have been getting weekly updates on a Friday from the lady I who interviewed me. So I am hoping to hear something tonight. Fingers crossed, I really want this job.
