    Hi All,

Could anybody please help with the following desdcription: -

This hotel is centrally located and close to all the famous highlights of London. The hotel provides a private bathroom and there is internet access in the rooms.

This is going to be the Paddington Court Hotel, and is part of the shabby Shaftesbury Hotels group, who in my opinion are little better than scammers. Stay away.

    Hello everyone,

doesnt anyone know which hotel this is in london? worried it might abit too new that its still being built? haha

Spanking New Design Hotel - City Fringe

    Hotel information

This brand new unique luxury property with swimming pool is located just a few metres from the tube - 1 stop from the heart of the city of London and just 5 stops from Covent Garden and the West End.

This is the Town Hall Hotel and Apartments. It's in a pretty scummy area and the claim to be just a few metres from the tube is a lie. The hotel itself is supposed to be OK if you can handle the area.

By City Fringe, it means Bethnal Green/Cambridge Heath.

I know this is not a london hotel but can someone help me? I am drawing a blank :(

Menzies Chequers hotel. Never heard of it before.
  • Does anybody have any idea which hotel this is please?

This charming hotel in Docklands is offering a high level of service, great hospitality, complimentary parking and is set within a stunning waterfront environment. Enjoy an appetizing meal in the restaurant with spectacular views over the water, particularly stunning by night.
Please note that there is an extra charge for baby sitting
Hotel name and address: This information will be provided on your confirmation e-mail

I was guessing at the Docklands Hilton but not too sure. Also if anybody has a description mentioning 'hand carved cherrywood furniture' this is The Grange Rochester Hotel near Westminster! Booked this one already! :)

Confirmed as Hilton London Docklands Riverside

Oh flip- just checked the details through & the offer is for a double room. I wanted a twin room as staying with my adult daughter. Any ideas how to change this? Could I book the secret hotel & then when I find out which hotel, ring & ask them to change us to a twin room. Think they'd do this?

The Royal Trafalgar by Thistle. This isn't directed specifically at you, but the title makes it a lot easier to look up for me.

Hi. Could someone who has booked this hotel 100% confirm its identity. I've read a couple of posts saying that it's the London Hilton Kensington but i was hoping that someone who's booked it could absolutely confirm it for me. Am hoping to stay there for my Birthday this year as i stayed there last year and had a great time. Have saved up all year - as i don't have a lot of money - and i would be absolutely gutted if i booked the wrong one!!!!

    Many thanks.

Hi, I haven't booked any of these hotels but I have access to 100% reliable information on which is which.

This is certainly the Hilton London Kensington. You have no cause to worry.

    Hi Pelican,

I have been meaning to ask you about this post. I have never booked a Shaftesbury hotel but have been tempted often since their price range is normally 100£-120£ with breakfast and in one of my favourite areas. I have however never felt particularly confortable with their reviews on tripadvisor. Can you elaborate on your opinion? Since these hotels do appear often in the secret LM list, I think everyone would profit from hearing your thoughts. TIA.

    Hi:

In my opinion the standard of the rooms is nowhere near 4*. Moreover, I am of the opinion that they have a strong tendency to move newly-arrived guests to a different hotel within the group from the one they had booked, claiming there is a gas leak or some other problem. The feedback I have received from people is that they feel tricked and inconvenienced. If you have a look on tripadvisor there are a large number of people, other than the ones who have spoken to me, who have had such experiences.
