I just booked this as I've always loved a surprise and couldn't resist. However, I'm disappointed to report that it is the Hilton Olympia. Normally a Hilton would be fine, but the TripAdvisor reviews are horrendous and upon further research I found that it is not a good discount at all. You can book directly with the property for the same price and it even appears to be an upgraded room.
I'm not happy. There should be some policy against luring the customer in with a supposed good secret deal, when really it's nothing great. Wish I could get my money back. :-( Please don't make the mistake of taking the bait yourself...Hi does anybody know what hotel this is please, thankyou
Hotel with a WOW factor in Kensington - 4* - London
Fantastic newly refurbished hotel part of a well known international hotel chain. Located on the trendy and exciting Kensington High Street and walking distance to the museums, Westfield, both Earls Court and Olympia Exhibition centres. The hotel is a short taxi ride from the West End where you can enjoy the vibrant nightlife and the wonders of theatreland. Unwind in the brand new chic bar or enjoy an intimate dinner in the hotel's well known restaurant.
Please note there is a car park underneath the hotel, however it is an National Car Park and charges apply.0 -
I wish! (Royal Garden is a 5 star I think...) See my post above. It's just the Hilton Olympia and I am perplexed as to where this "wow factor" is...dannyt1978 wrote: »Im dying to know which hotel that is too, with the wow factor, anyone any ideas,i was secretly hoping it was the royal garden hotel but i doubt it lol0

Yes, the Hilton Olympia is by far the worst Hilton property in London - if not anywhere I've ever been. The hotel makes its money through overpriced deals with conventions at Olympia next door and delegates are too lazy to look elsewhere - despite there being loads of cheaper and better hotels within 5-10 mins away. This also means that the hotel doesn't have to make much effort to keep their occupancy rates high.
When there isn't a big event at Olympia you can get the hotel really cheap but the hotel is still a dump and it's not as it's it's in an especially nice part of London.
I suppose it's one of the risks of using these "top secret" hotels.0 -
