Can anyone who has one, or who has had one, tell me how good the camera is on this phone?
Argos have it £29.99 over the bank holiday weekend and my old phone died this week so bought a Nokia 1112 for £2.99 (after Virgin Mobile discounts etc) to see me through until I bought a better one.
Would appreciate any feedback on the phone in general as well
Thanks

I've had one for a few weeks, mainly bought it for the FM radio, and bought for a discount.
The camera is just a basic 'get u by' type. ie, you wouldn't really use it for photos that you want to print. You'd probably want at least a 1 or 2 MB camera for that.
I like the phone ok, though the menu is maybe ever-so-slightly sluggish, and sending texts takes an extra button push or two to send. Oh, and the ringtones aren't exactly the loudest either, though I noticed that with my 3220 as well. Minor gripes.
ps, you can get it unlocked for free on these forums! :beer:0 -

Thanks for the info.
What is the camera like compared to the 3220? It's convenient you have 3220 as my partner has one of them and I like her camera. Is the 6070 as good camera wise?
Good to know I can get it unlocked. I'm undecided as to what the best network is anyway :beer:0 -
As far as I can tell, the camera is just the same as the 3220. They're both what is termed as the basic 'vga' camera which is equal to 0.3 MegaPixels. Thanks for the info.

I've just changed from T-mobile sim to Asda, main reason being I didn't want to be paying £1 just to access a couple of web pages each day.
Buy £10 top-up credit at an Asda checkout till, hand over the sim pack to be scanned, and the sim scans as free. Plus an extra 10% credit for topping up in-store.
The most difficult thing was getting Asda picture messaging to work on both my 6070 and her 3220. If you should happen to get to the same position, pm me and I'll see if I can help.
ps, the 6070 seems to have a fair bit more camera memory than the 3220.0 -

My partner takes photo's on the 3220 and gets them printed and they come out really good.
What's the £1 webpages? Do you have to pay it? Even if you don't want to go online? Does the 6070 phone enable you to send your pictures to an e-mail address like the 3220? And how much does that cost if it does? Text or the £1?
Asda is miles from me, so doubt will join that. The one advertised for 6070 is Orange.0 -

It is a basic phone. It does the job what you want........
You can buy this from Orange for £29.99 [including £10 credit] which means the phone is just £19.99
...............Better price than ARGOS!!!!!0 -
T-mobile once charged per web page viewed, with a max cost of £1/day. Now it's £1 even if you only view one page, no charge if you don't view anything. My partner takes photo's on the 3220 and gets them printed and they come out really good.

It does seem possible to set it up for email, but i don't know what way it's costed.
Also, if you initially use it with the Orange sim, settings seem to get sent automatically. I know because I stuck my Orange sim, which came with my 6070, into my old 1100 and received a text to say settings were being sent... Some chance of working in that phone!0
