Q: Best package deal for phone/tv/internet

Can anyone point me in the direction of what the best approach for broadband/tv/telephone is?
Just moved into a new house and we need to get connected.
We have been out of the country for a couple of years so I have lost touch with the most economical ways of doing things.
I don't want to be tied in for 12 months which is what Vrigin Media are insisting on. There is cable provision to the house.
I am thinking we may be better with Freeview, forget the phone and use Skype. Get broadband from Virgin as it is currently 10GBP per month.
