O2 priority moments on tesco

Hello.
I've read that you can still access O2 priority moments on a tesco sim, as long as you access the O2 priority moments on wifi, not on the tesco internet.
You can download the app if you put an O2 SIM card in, and then replace it with the tesco sim and the app will still be there.
Has anyone tried this? Thanks

Will question every purchase I make!

On Android I know you need to have SIM in the phone to download from app store, not sure if it works on another network but on iOS it does.

iOS you just enter o2 number and the verification text sent to it, doesn't have to be in the phone, works without wifi on another network.

On android you can download apps with no sim card in btw.

O2 priority app is linked to a number is it not? So as long as you can receive the text with the verification code in then it should work.
I wouldn't have thought it matters what network you are accessing the app from as long as the number that is used to verify it is an active o2 number.

I had set it up for someone who got new Huawei phone (just 2 weeks ago) and it specifically requested o2 sim to be connected before doing from play store. It does however work with any other sim after activation.

My partner just switched from O2 to EE. She already got O2 app on her iPhone and she can still access and use the O2 Priority. :)

Yes you can access to O2 Priorities as long as you have a verification code. However today, when I was getting a freebie, I was asked a phone number. I have one but it is not my main phone so had no issues.

Interestingly I have just ran an experiment on this.
I am on Tesco, on an android phone ... I have just downloaded the app and installed it.
Then opened it, it asked for a phone number so I put mine in. Received a validation code by text. Put that in the app and it all works!

I don't know if this is because this is a number I ported to tesco from o2 or not (It shouldn't make a diff as this was ported over a yr ago)
