I am not a business seller.
I do mystery shop and sometimes sell things I have to buy. But the tax office knows this and I do my yearly return on any profits. This item was a gift which my Mom looked at and said no chance. So I put it on ebay hoping for the best. I wish I had kept it for myself now.
Anyway she has opened a PayPal claim and for the reason she has put I don't have the right plug.
Really? Go out and buy one.0 -
Oh and I cheekily asked another seller. The item comes with a two pin plug and a USB cable also.0

You've either got a very stupid buyer or she has changed her mind and is making up an excuse to get a refund.
All you can do is explain about the USB cable and a plug adapter and if she opens a case agree to a return for a refund and make sure she's on your block list.0 -
£200 for some flashing led's, bargain
maybe she's not so stupid after all.Don't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0 -
If its as pictured part of it needs to be plugged in to a shaver socket which many people don't have. If the item is UK spec this is not a fault. She needs to buy a shaver plug adapter.
I recently had a dispute and a forced return. The item didn't fit, buyer claimed it was faulty!. It was clear anyone at ebay who dealt with the claim hadn't read or understood the claim as they kept commenting on tracking problems which no-one had questioned. The unfair forced refund has put me off ebay.0 -

Oooh thanks for that. She went straight to PayPal. Unsure what they are like. No doubt they will rule in her favour.

You can sell anything if you claim eternal youth (or curing cancer), look at all the bunkum over the years - creams, supplements, religions, etc. If anyone else wants flashing LED's...http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/5mm-flashing-red-led-qy96ee ;-)0 -
She says it's a lot of money to lose out on, so I should refund her fully and then she will send it back.
She either has a VERY old computer or she's trying it on.
No seller is going to refund without having received the item back from the buyer first.
However, I would add that as a seller I would not feel comfortable selling an item if I didn't know basic details about what I was selling.sealed pot challenge 9 #0040 -

USB ports were released in 1996 and produced in 1997 so the computer would probably have to be over 18 years old to not have the port. USB 2.0 was released in 2000, but that's still 15 years. Can't imagine they're using a PC that's over 15 years old. So I'd say almost certainly trying it on, although possibly due to lack of knowledge.
Same here, but as a buyer I'd say the same as it makes sense to know what you're buying, especially at that price, and this buyer clearly didn't.0
