Do you mean the box of little cup shaped chocolates rather than the 5 fruit centre bar? Because if you do you're the first person i've seen mention them! I've been going on about them to my family for years and they all say they don't know what i'm talking about!

This reminds me of my OH. I always used to go on about Toffifees as I remembered them from when I was younger, but he had never even heard of them and was convinced I had imagined or made these chocolates up. Safe to say when they started making them again I bought him some and he loves them now. I get them every year at Christmas now more for the nostalgia than anything else :rotfl:

My younger daughter loves them and often buys them.

Yes the little tiny chocs. I was bought my own box as a special Christmas treat and refused to share. The box was long and narrow.

Here they are, but this box is much older than th one I remember.

Regarding Beech's creams: they are nothing like the fruity ones I used to buy in wholesale boxes. The last I bought were single flavour from a well known, but closed down, health food chain (except I can't remember it's name) ; the cream was hard and not very tasty.

On Googling, I notice that the original Cadbury crème eggs were so large that it was necessary to stretch forefinger and thumb to accommodate one.

Oh wow! Thanks for the link. I tried googling, but couldn't find a pic.

I can't remember exactly what the box used to look like, but it's definitely those chocs.

Wow, I hardly ever come across anybody else who likes the coffee sweets and I was also gutted when the coffee creams were removed from Cadbury's Roses. Have you tried the Thorntons Coffee Creams though? They're yummy & come in those little bags that are always on 2 bags for £5. Nobody else in my house likes coffee sweets so I get to eat them all to myself :j

I know where I'll be visiting next Monday when I'm in Derby City Centre haha! Thanks for the heads up.

Have you tried the Mocha Kit Kats yet? Only limited edition but to die for.

Just wish they did the dark Kit Kats in them... then I'd be VERY happy haha!

Makes a change to hear from others who love the coffee creams like I do, most people seem to hate them lol.

If you have a B & M bargains nearby (think they are mostly in the North of England) they are selling Whitakers Coffee Cremes for just 99p a box, and they are gorgeous. The mint creams are also lush so I got a few of each for crimbo. BUT they are dark choc not milk, I prefer dark myself so perfect for me :)

If you want to splash out this company http://www.kennedyschocolates.co.uk/ make amazing handmade chocs, not too cheap, but not as expensive as some companies and you can do a "choose your own" box online and pick exactly what chocs you want. I have been to the shop as well-bit far for me for a quick trip but close enough for a day trip to the area and they aren't a massive company and seem really nice.

I've always disliked coffee creams but there has always been a relative to eat them for me.

There are B&M Bargains in the Midlands, too.
  • Celebrations are better and no hard toffees in them. I like the green triangle too. But every box or tub I have bought recently has had lots of hard centres than soft ones not good.

Thanks for that. I have a B&M not too far away so will give them a try.

I see they do a lime cream chocolate so may be placing an order there.

I bought a box of Beeches lime creams yesterday at a sweet shop outlet, but they're pretty average. Still they've partially satisfied a craving for lime chocs for now! I've found THIS BOX of coffee and lime cream chocs which is a good combo for me. Probably no better than Beeches though. :undecided
