Transfer Number To Avoid 30 Day Notice Period?
Comments
-
No this is not the case.
Obtaining your PAC from existing provider starts your 30 day notice period. In my experience, if you port out within that 30 day period the operator will charge you for the remaining days left before the 30 day notice expires. I always try to plan ports so that the number transfers as close to day 30 as possible.0 -
I've had luck with voda not enforcing the 30 days when leaving via pac0

Yes, this is true as notice isn't needed as if you get a PAC any notice already given gets voided. The contract gets terminated when the number is ported out. So, there is no point in giving a notice and getting a PAC.My provider (Utilty Warehouse) tells me I can avoid giving 30 days notice on monthly rolling contracts by transferring my number.
Is this true?
However, avoiding giving a notice isn't the same as avoiding paying for the next 30 days. They possibly meant this, but it's not clear.
Orange used to have an anomaly (regardless of the PAC) How to dodge the 30 day cancellation notice with Orange contracts.0
