    Morning all :)
Thanks for the start Clootiesmum :)
Awake just after 4 this morning, and couldn't get back to sleep :(
Got up, fed chickens, took pup out, emptied dishwasher and had breakfast. Also found first Mins item of the day@
#36, a bit of old hooked wire which was in the spare bedroom (no idea why, probably something to do with DH). Anyway, it is dangerous, so I binned it :)

Baby GD will be arriving shortly, so just savouring a coffee while I have the chance!

    Other things today:
Get OH to take some items to the auction house. We have too much stuff  Done :D
HM meals from stores - I have got some chilli out of the freezer for tonight, and there is HM quiche in the fridge for lunch :)Done
Surveys, FPL etc when I get the chance, probably not till this evening! Done, surprisingly
Find some more Mins items (if I can get OH to go to the auction house I will do quite well today :))
#37, 38, 2 corner wall cabinets, to auction house
#39, a too large and too dark coffee table, also to auction
    # 40, a large tin trunk (this might be a cheat, as this was in OH's workshop as opposed to indoors) auction
    # 41, a large wall clock, auction
    # 42, a horrible jumper that someone gave OH  CS
#43, a skirt that I won't wear :o back to the charity shop it came from. I think of it as a double donation. Anyway, I bought one I do like yesterday, so one in, one out :)
#44, my old moisturiser / serum tube (binned). I finally went to savers and bought a new one. £4.99 as opposed to gawdknowshowmuch anywhere else (it is a specific brand) :)

Think of some activities to do with GD. She is quite good fun now, as she can do more things and is starting to really talk :) I can't believe she will be 2 in a couple of weeks time - where does the time go? We played in the sink, did playdough, some gardening, played with the puppy (a lot!), went for a walk, read stories, played ball, did drawing, watched cbeebies, played with a toy bus and people, etc. Worn out now :rotfl:

Anyway, must dash - I will be back later to update :)
  • Morning all :hello: thanks for starting Clootiesmum :) quick post as must dash to work, be back later, just waiting for DH to come home before I can leave. My list for today:
Call nursery and book DD in for her free sessions from Jan
Move some present money to current account
B/D from stores. Lunch taking to work, treated my self to one of those soup cups yesterday on offer yesterday in Mr A
Meeting friend for lunch at work very good for the soul:)
Voluntary work meeting tonight - as its a meeting I can't put it off, which is not a bad thing :rotfl:
E mail energy supplier to see why they've blacked our move to new supplier for gas but not electric
Washed plastic tub from frozen fruit so I can use it for leftovers, particularly good for curries as when it's stained beyond use I can just chuck away
More of the washing mountain, wash washed in cheap overnight as was DW

Think that's about all, have a good day everyone. I'll check back tonight

    jonno :)

    Morning folks!

Thanks to clootiesmum for starting us off

clioscott - bad news on the car! Hopefully it's something cheap to fix

Ally - I've done that to my OH before. I also once set the alarm as I left the house, while he was still asleep in bed!

La E and Ally - probably about the same for me with the TMI ;)

A nice quiet evening for me last night with the crochet.

    Today's list:

    • Charge phone in work - done
    • B/L/D from stores
    • Check online banking and reconcile spreadsheet - done
    • Run at lunchtime - done
    • Log calories in free app. Had been losing weight with the extra exercise but must be eating more to compensate :o
    • Work INCREDIBLY hard (must make this deadline!) - another 3 1/2 sites finalised - only 12 to go!
    • Possibly go to WI tonight, but will have to see how work goes - not going. Bus fare and £4 visitor fee saved
    • If not WI:
    • more crochet
    • Wash some of my jam jars and transfer to new container
    • Hoover the utiliy room VERY thoroughly. The moving of the jam jar box revealed a woodlouse graveyard
Right, better get cracking as soon as I can get hold of this software licence...

    Have a good one all

  • Hi All

Car is having surgery yesterday and today. No idea if serious. Do not really care, just glad the knocking did not stop me on the road or cause engine to explode before getting to garage. Am I glass half full or what?

Struggling with work do not let your children work in sales. After a thorough grilling on Monday I feel totally unmotivated, utterly destroyed and in fairness compared to other sessions it was mild. I always liken myself to a chestnut mare, I will do anything for you if asked nicely, break my back trying, but take out a whip and I shut it out, shut down and can not then function. It is so frustrating as I am now struggling just to get into work. Am doing mindfulness and trying to be positive and not over react. Like walking through treacle. Been awake since 3.30 telling myself off for being silly. 2nd night in a row. Need to grill myself probably.

Am off on friday to visit sister whose DH has had an accident on their farm and she is in a serious state of despair, so wierdly I will come home counting my blessings and probably in a better frame of mind just for having had a few nights away.

    Speak soon. M
  • Morning all!

I've had a busy morning so far, with more to follow.

Rain forecast, so got out into garden as soon as I was back from dog walking (found windfall walnuts and cooking apples on walk).

Raked up a few more leaves for compost, then tied up a 'Hot Lips' that was drooping over the pool. Sounds painful, but it's a variety of Salvia. Very pretty - starts off white and develops red 'lips'. Then I was amazed to find one of my poppies (Patty's Plum) is about to flower again - it has a big bud about to burst open. This has happened in the past, but not in November!

I've taken some frozen lemons & satsumas out of the freezer & will make some marmalade when they've thawed out enough to slice up. They're just the left over bits of fruit when I've just needed half of a lemon, or satsumas that haven't tasted very good.

I noticed in the bathroom that the chrome soap rack was going rusty. In the past I would have ditched it & bought a new one, but this time a few minutes with a brillo pad got it looking as good as new.

I'm hoping the postie will bring me a parcel of wool that I bought on eBay so that I can start knitting another hot water bottle cover to sell.

I resisted making the treacle tart yesterday, and used up some of the apples we have loads of instead. Much healthier!

Coffee calling now! Hope you all have a good day

  • Morning everyone :)

Got an email through after I completed the online numerical test for the job last night and I passed so have yet another test to do again today, exciting stuff :)
Today so far hasn't been a NSD unfortunately, spend 86p in the shop across the road from work, on junk as well so regretting it on two accounts.
I actually forgot to cancel my gym membership last night so ill do that once I finish today.
I've got a half day (finish at 1.15) so going to my mother's to use her Internet and get some peace and quiet to do this test.
Also today I'm going to list up my old bed from my Mother's house, an old solid wood sleigh bed so will hopefully get a good bit from someone.
Rather excited that I'm going to start a Debt Free Diary again! The last one fell by the way-side but I've a new lease of life now!
