    If you read the chart correctly you'll note that you get 7 hours at the lower tariff during a window that could be any between 8 and 10 hours wide. So you need to do your own checks to make sure you know when your own 7 hour period starts and end, especially if you've got a separate time clock rather than a radio controlled meter. Some clocks can be hours adrift on time, which can work to your advantage if you use it correctly

    You should also be aware that the window usually shifts by an hour during British Summer Time. Make sure that you take it into account when setting time switches or operating water heaters/washing machines & dryers etc otherwise you could end up inadvertently paying for an hour at the peak rate.
