Ludicrous comment.
The old wives tale describing how to to seal up a hard drive, put it in the freezer to cool, then plug it in and hey presto it works for a while is in the main nonsense. For all of the reasons above.
The whole idea pivots on the concept of the drive being mechanical, and mechanical devices change size and function with change in temperature.
Solid state drives do not function in this way, there are no moving mechanical parts, and so no effect of temperature. Nothing to lose, nothing to gain, nonsense.0
