Winamp has gone rubbish

I started using Winamp following this thread:

But now it's gone rubbish. The user interface is terrible - it's tiny and with no text at all so it's very hard to find my way around it. Also it seems to have lost my playlists so I'm looking at recreating them, but it seems to require me to individually select each album to add to my playlist. Is there something else I should use now? I'm using Windows 7.
Thanks

Thanks FB. Much better than Media Monkey I was using. :cool:0 -
Winamp went rubbish over ten years ago - I thought it was eventually discontinued/killed-off due to alienating most of its user base?0

For simple playback, VLC is great:

Or if you want a music manager, MusicBee is pretty good:

I've downloaded Clementine and had a quick look at it. It seems to work OK. The only thing so far is that it keeps popping up the message "The stream is encrypted and decryption is not supported.". I don't know why it has to bother me with this as it seems to play the music OK.0

Have you tried changing Winamp's skin?0

No idea unless I Google it, never seen it. Any DRM protected content in your collection ?Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -
I'd recommend Clementine as well.
I've not long finished trying out alternatives myself, and been round the houses with them, and come back to Clementine.0 -

No idea. Mostly the music is just ripped from my own CDs, but I think some may be downloaded from the Internet. I haven't yet worked out which songs it has the problem with.0
