My fingers are crossed for you OP
Keep your chin up.
It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0 -
Yeah Paul I often wondered how the temp to perm worked, when you decide not to pay holiday to a Temp. Nothing more than a form of book fiddling. I thought I was alone but have come across other temps saying holiday pay was also not a privilege for them : (
I still vote making it known you want perm job, can only recall my first temp job when I was sitting to far down one call centre to be offered the next assignment after xmas (it was who they could count nearest the pickers) that got offered.
There was also that assignment that kept me out of sympathy and expected a lot more if I went permanent which was beyond me, my capabilities at time so also don't take offence if you aren't selected. Always another door opens.0 -

Whilst there are a lot of success stories bear in mind sometimes there just isn't the budget in some places to employ people past Christmas or their contact end date. I hope it works out for you buy if it doesn't it could just be down to then not having the budget. At the very least you should get 3 months worth of money and a reference.

When looking for temp jobs, make sure what the base rate is- holiday allowance should be ON TOP of this!
Eg- £10 / hour base, plus £1 holiday - £11 / hour total.. Taxed on all (less taxallowances etc), but holiday part held separate until used..
I have done some jobs, where you get (if unused) holiday pay as lump sum when placement ends.
Works out about 2 days for each month worked- any bank holidays need to be taken from this, or go unpaid. Law may have changed, since I last did it though!breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??0
