Hi guys,
I have never traveled before so this is my first passport.
Is the £14 extra worth it to boost from 32 pages to 48 pages ?

Not unless you plan to do a lot of travel outside of the EUChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0

Do you not get stamps inside the EU?0

no. Pages are required for stamps and visas for outside EU
you would need to be a fairly frequent non-EU traveller to require the extra pages. I do probably 2 US / Asia trips a year and am fine with the standard passport
My brother does around 6+ trips a year and needs the larger passport0 -
Thanks very much i have sent my application off so might call and change it to standard!
Only had the thought after school boy error0 -
Some visa requirements e.g. India insist on 2 blank pages.
That's one for the stuck-in visa and one for the stamps.
My standard 32 page passport recently expired and I had just one blank page in it but I had 9 Indian visas, a Chinese visa and an Indonesian visa.
When renewing it, I opted for the 48 page one.
A bit strange that you asked the question at 7:56am today and less than 30 minutes later you'd already posted your application off.
Why didn't you wait for replies to your question?0 -
I got to within three pages of filling my last passport but wasn't tempted to get the larger one when I renewed because it's unrealistic that I'd fill it. I'm flying tonight and will get about 10 stamps in it before I return but no visas.0

India is a nice place to travel to then?
I sent it off at the weekend in a rush but this is an after thought , did i really need the jumbo one.
I guess the extra cost split across 10 years is not worth talking about.
I am planning on doing some "travelling" but not sure how much / where to yet.
Thanks for the info0 -
India is a vast country so you'd need to do your research.AdventureRocks wrote: »India is a nice place to travel to then?

Actually, that advice is good for wherever you're thinking of going to.
As you say, it's £1.40 per year extra so hardly worth worrying about.0 -
Better stick with the Jumbo size - sounds like you might just live up to your handle and need it - it's a hassle and expense to renew before time and not easy to ask pompous immigration officers to save space by squeezing their stamp into a spare corner...AdventureRocks wrote: »India is a nice place to travel to then?
