For the last 2 months I have experienced extreme difficulties with onetel. Their servers are having troubles and their engineers are aware of it and fixing it - no their not. I am getting emails 4 -7 days old and a lot havent even got through. A while ago I asked for my code so I could leave and they offered me £10 a month boradband for a year os I took it as it was reasonable but the service has got even worse than before.
The Customer Services people have a useless script in from of them and when I asked them this morning if they would accept such appalling service they said no. Onetel used to be good until taken over by talktalk and although they tell you this has made no difference it certainly has from a user perspecitve.
I could not recommend onetel to anyone and will be off asap and definately not to talktalk either!

Onetel is still very much run as a seperate business with its own budgets and own staff.
TalkTalk is still another ISP just as AOL is.0 -
I have been pleased with Onetel up until a few months ago and things are going downhill fast with Mailzone. This past week has been dire and you get no more than "engineers are working to fix the problem". I have been getting a few emails in dribs and drabs all dated last weekend...............how much longer can it go on? I feel as though I am knocking my head against a brick wall.SallyD0

How can Onetel be taking so long in solving this? When I spoke to the help-line the agent said the problem had been going on for about 3 weeks but it was "close to being fixed" - that was 4 days ago and still there's a delay of 3-4 days. Got worried as I was waiting for hotel and flight confirmations for an imminent holiday - finally arrived yesterday, days late.
So frustrated I set up another mail account - google mail - seems great so far and works at the speed of light!! One step towards disengaging from Onetel now - many more and better offers around now so they've lost my business now I think. Perhaps we all need to 'vote with our feet'. If, say, 10,000 users left them at £30 per month they might take some notice!!0
