advice needed on boiler

Hi,
I am replacing the boiler of my flat which is 1 double bed, 1 reception. My engineer suggested to have Vaillant pro 24. But it has open controls not sealed. I am also not sure whether I can use my wireless thermostat which was bought for eco plus 837 some time ago. Amy suggestions on the right boiler? Should I go for plus series? I.e 824?
