Would you switch or just close the account?
    Serious question!?

If you dropped two £50 notes (or even 3, as £150 switching incentives are available) and the wind blew them away would you chase after them?

I would run after it. £100 is a lot of money to me. I guess you are suggesting a switch. What is the interest on these accounts? I guess I can switch back to nationwide this time next year?

Which accounts? The ones paying switching incentives? Pretty dismal. In fact, with the exception of CB/YB, they don't pay anything! The ones paying switching incentives are...
    YB/CB
    FD
    Co-op
    M&S
    Halifax
I guess I can switch back to nationwide this time next year?
    Possibly, maybe even before.

Halifax can pay a fiver a month though
  • I'm just about to upgrade from Flexaccount to Flexdirect after downgrading a year ago.

I've not seen anyone post on here that they've done similar and it has been successful in achieving the 5% again.

    Fingers crossed.

    YB/CB £150 switch.
and gives you 2% on £3K from memory.

The switch is more than the interest you can get in a year on some accounts!

Not sure if that response was for me but I've been a real current account tart in the past and been through (and still hold) all the decent paying ones.

No allegedly about it if he doesn't already have a joint FlexDirect account (and hasn't had one in the last 12 months). ;)
