    Hi everyone,

Thanks TA, enjoy the show and I hope all goes well tomorrow. HH I hope the next few days are as drama free as they can be.

Well, I had a wonderful meal yesterday with DD at the Ivy Cafe and ate far too much - the pudding was to die for. I love spending time like this with DD, we never run out of things to talk about. BTW, I thoroughly recommend the cafe for a special lunch and the prices, while not cheap weren't horrendous either. A real treat.

Today, we're going back to London to help DD and SIL with some DIY and box clearing in their new house, tomorrow DH has promised DS that he'll help replace their toilet cistern and ball c*ck in the loft, the weekends aren't long enough.

    Have a good day.
  • Morning (((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one. So glad you are feeling a little less stressed Hester, you need to take care, I know its hard just now.

Its windy and piddling down here. OH has to go for the TV times, he will have to go in the car he will be drucket before he gets to the shop, never mind coming back. Cannot cope with him with a cold as well as everything else.

Out till past lunchtime yesterday, so lunch and supper were late. He has to have new glasses £150, a bit less than mine.

Clothes on the airer, will finish them off in the dryer tomorrow if they are still damp. OH's vests are the worst for drying they are cotton and quite thick.

Friday clean to do, I need to move the settee, DS2 put the tieback hooks on for me on Monday, I need to clean the muck up off the carpet. and the kitchen floor could do with a wash as well. I did manage to tidy the conglomeration of cables up yesterday so we just have one cable on the floor I need some cable clips to secure it to the top of the skirting board, it will be better then.
  • Morning all,

Windy but warm this morning. DH and DS2 are off to Stevenage in a while to watch football. I am excited because me and DS2's GF are looking after her friends baby until tomorrow. I am hoping the rain holds off because I thought it would be nice to walk up to Dobbies and have coffee and cake later. Am a little bit worried in case the baby screams the place down and it's been a long time since I've been out with one!

Oh well, have a fab day all :)

  • Hi all

Just popped back to with Mr TA happy birthday and fingers crossed for Monday.

    LWW, hugs.

LW I hope you are ok.

Mrs LW thanks for you kindness.

BIC, I'm sure the baby will be fine, I have 4 children, 9 grandchildren & was childminder for 10 years and in all that time there was only one baby that regularly screamed non-stop & that was my DD, there was nothing wrong with her, she was just easily bored.

It's wet and windy here, I'm really not looking forward to bashing along the motorway in this weather, but needs must.

    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

    Morning all,

RR so pleased to hear your good news regarding Noodles.

    LWW ((((hugs))) big ones.

TA happy birthday to Mr TA. Will be thinking of you on Monday.

All is well at home. I'm drowning in the mens laundry. Ive never had so many wet muddy work clothes to wash. The building site is one big puddle apparently. Its that clay sort of soil and i'm having to put everything on an intensive wash to get the clay out out.

When i went to see Mom last night i noticed my brothers car was outside. Me and 'Youngest' signed in and i noticed my brother had only just come. By the time i got to the door, they had hotfooted it through the back door and back into the car.:rotfl:

    Suits me.

Lots to do today. Need to get Mom some new clothes, shopping, and i think hubby wants to look at cars.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

  • Morning everyone. :hello:

Its very wet and windy at the moment. Another busy day running about I think. We will be taking DS to work shortly and then going to do some food shopping. I then need to get the house cleaned and the washing done.

DD is going to a party this evening in Bromley, so we are going to take her up, then head into London for a while and then will come back to take her home, as she has to work on Sunday lunchtime at the hotel.

In between that we will also have to pick DS up from work and make some food for everyone!!

HH good to hear MIL's care is so much better. hugs to you.

Happy birthday to Mr TA, enjoy DGDs concert and good luck for Monday and the coming week.

((((hugs)))) to all, must run as DS wants to go to work.

Have a good day all, and try to stay dry!!

  • Good Morning everyone, very wet and windy here this morning but due to clear after lunch so I can give Cookie a good walk, He Who Knows is feeling a bit under the weather so didn't take her out this morning. I've just sat and done a weeks meal planning with things I know I have in already and have just used up half a savoy cabbage that had been lurking in the fridge to make a big batch of coleslaw, it seems to hit the spot as salad in this weather much better than lettuce. Lunch will be some hot sausage rolls with coleslaw and supper tonight will be a bacon and black pudding saute with some mash and peas, just what we need in this blustery autumn weather, rugby on the TV this afternoon too and hopefully some firework activity tonight as we had none on Thursday and only one lot in the village yesterday. Best I think to get it all over and done with for the sake of the pets that get so scared over the noise.

Having an easy day today, travelling yesterday in that horrible wetness makes us more tired than a day spent on the allotment!!!

HESTER I'm so pleased that your burden feels lighter since MIL has the Hospice place, just remember that they are there to help you and the family too love and if YOU feel twizzled there will always be a kind and sympathetic ear to listen and help, it's part of the service they give unstintingly and willingly to anyone who needs it.

Have yourselves a good day, stay warm and dry and be happy, Lyn xxx.

A late one from me today. I was out the house By 7.15am, drive the eight miles to the bus stop and was, predictably, a bit too soon. The morning was bright and mild.

I thoroughly enjoyed the bus trip down, I saw so much more from the high coach seat and not driving. It was stress free and comfortable. I took my travel cup with hot tea. Glasgow is almost ankle deep in rain, it's just awful but I am sitting in the Virgin lounge with a hot drink waiting for the train.

Camelot - a very long convoy of emergency vehicles went racing through Dumbarton just before Lomondgate. Looks like a major accident / incident further north.

TA - have a great time at the dance show and meal. It all sounds fab.

HH - hope you can relax a bit more now.

Hope everyone has a good Saturday.

I am so glad you have one less front to fight on and that MIL has the best possible care and support.

Happy Birthday to Mr. TA :bdaycake:

    Hugs (gentle) to LameWolf.

Had a sleepless night as I was fretting over the house offer as it is a really low price and they need to move before Christmas

After tossing and turning I realised that it was doubtful we would get probate in time, I had not found somewhere I wanted and could not jump through hoops for someone else's deadlines as it would make me ill. I got proactive and phoned EA explaining it was not feasible and rejected the offer. If the house sells in the Spring then fine, if not then fine. Feel better now I have drawn a line in the sand.

Had massive shower of rain and now it is sunny so might try to hang out the laundry. DD is coming round tonight and staying over after a night out and dd , SIL etc coming round tomorrow at tea time. Might need to take meat out to defrost and shop for more veg.

    Hugs to all
