Home appliance advise (Looking for a new microwave)

Amazing how I cannot find a topic to discuss advice on home appliances here?
I'm on the market for a new microwave oven, but unsure what to get. For the past years I've own a relatively decent 27L microwave, but unfortunately it got damaged when I moved recently.
Basically what I'm thinking is something that has some sort of automated temperature controls (my last one had a thermometer attachment to put when cooking meat) and good uniformity. A flat bed would be nice as I can have more space. Grill is not exactly necessary as I have an oven.
Inverter feature would be nice, as I find heating up anything other than mostly liquids using on/off method on conventional microwaves a bit dumb. That and the fact the magnetron takes 2-3 seconds to fire up.
I can see many reviews for Panasonic top of the range £400+ ovens, but nothing for their £200 flatbed units, which is more in my price range. Not sure what other brands to look for.
Any advice?

I got a Panasonic combi worth £260 as a factory 2nd (small scratch on the side) for £60, from an outlet on eBay.... Same as I got a £750 AEG fridge/freezer for £270, slight dent on the top edge.
Both been good for over 7 years now.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

We have a Panasonic Inverter Combi 3 years old cost £160 ish, a nice piece of kit and used regularly, for me the most usefull feature is the Caos defrost function which defrosts items straight from the freezer by pulsing the right amount of microwave energy through to give uniform defrost and it works a treat."Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0
