Yes that would be the answer.Let the new supplier stump up the £100 expense for getting out a contractor and a new meter installed.I m not sure they would be so keen though. Maybe thats a question for the Reps on here to answer , Eon/Npower or even Joyful from BG if their companies will switch for free, the legions of people who ve fallen for the free smart meters with Utilita and Ovo. I ve met a few ,( we read a few Ovo smart meters ) who are fed up with the meter when it go s wrong..Imputing a huge code number of 40 to 60 digits would do my head in0

Utilita sales staff commonly target possible low income areas with claims of cheaper gas/electric.
Its your choice...
I think once your signed up with them there is at least a 1 possibly 2 year contract??
I cant agree. They have been a great company for us but it is clear from what you and others say there are some problems.
They appear to be ahead of the curve on the technology and that technology works very well for us.0 -

Be very careful posting something you aren't sure about, because on this occasion you're incorrect.0 -

Would be ashame if the meter box got flooded, it would cause a software crash lolDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I'm in the process of switching away from Utilita to EDF.
EDF will replace your meters for free and there is no exit fee if you decide to switch again later.0 -
EON will swap the utilitia pp meter for a standard one quite quickly as far as i am aware0

Sorry sacsquacco, missed your question before. Where customers switch to us with a Utilita Smart Meter, we'll need to change the meter. We'll fit one of our prepayment meters in its place. We don't charge to do this.EON will swap the utilitia pp meter for a standard one quite quickly as far as i am aware
Once a switch has gone through, we'll contact the customer asking them to arrange an appointment at a mutually convenient time for this work to be done. Depending on the availability of technicians, this is done fairly quickly after the customer contacts us.
Hope this explains.

I'll try not to worry about it. To err is human..as they say.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
