Hi, just a little off topic, but 14 days ago I applied for TSB credit card (12months BT low fee) and during the application they asked me to create my internet banking login etc and on the right there was a box with the cc information, stating credit limit: 0.

It all sounded like approval, i got a reference number but at the end they told me that will email me a decision in 4 working days.

I called last week and they told me that my application is still pending review, no need to worry, need to wait for another 5 working days.

Is all that sounds promising? Anyone have similar experience while applying for TSB CC? Cheers

as above GTR, it is all about the terms..
i have received the same email, by the way.
i have a Barclaycard, an MBNA card and an Amex card...all of which i am holding on to. also have an M&S Mastercard, probably short term to take advantage of a quick deal.
do you have a balance on the Barclaycard that you are paying interest on? if you do, then moving it to the TSB card would seem a clearly good idea.. but i'm guessing not. and unless you have/want a balance to transfer, then this feature, for example, is of no use to you whatever.
if i were just wanting one credit card to spend on, and clear in full each month i wouldn't look beyond Amex.
but i want other cards for borrowing too..so it all depends upon your circumstances.:)

I always pay my DD in full each month...

Barclaycard come with free Experian credit report (I think/Coming soon) is a handy feature but not fussed if don't have it as i can use clearscore/Noodle

    ok, as i thought...
i would stick to using noddle, and do myself.
and if i were you i would be spending for cashback/points and clearing in full
    OR
take advantage of a 0% on spending period, just pay the minimum by DD, and build up the funds to clear the debt in a current account which pays some interest.
probably the former for simplicity, and to ensure 100% that you stay on top of the debt.

    OK So I bank with
    Barclays
    TSB
    Nationwide
    Barclaycard

Got email from TSB (Legit) saying they can give me
    TSB Platinum with
0% interest on purchases for up to the first 20 months
0% interest for up to the first 20 months on balances transferred within the first 90 days

A Balance Transfer fee of 2.95% applies. 2.00% will be refunded within 60 days, so you only pay 0.95% overall with balances transferred within the first 90 days.

also they said they pre approved me and just need to confirm if i can afford my repayments...

should I keep my barclaycard or get this credit card.... instead

I feel like I only need one credit card

If you do not have a balance to transfer over then the TSB card is neither better or worse than your current card.
However what happens if you have a problem with your Barclaycard - apply for the TSB and keep it as a back up.
Personally I would seek a card with cashback or points such as Avios if you pay the card off fully every month.

Well, he also feels like he only needs one card.

There is first time for everything. For a second card. For minimum payments while at 0%. ...
