    Thanks. I think FTM is OK on W10 but my problem is the lack of a current activation code. Suspect is will be cheaper to re buy it than try ringing Ancestry to try to get one.

    Just a crazy thought, but if you install FTM on W10, then copy across the old files (e.g. from Program Files, Users, Application Data, etc. folders) and registry keys from the W7 installation, then reboot (to reload the registry), does that result in a successful W10 activation?

    Knowing that MS are likely to get even more aggressive about pushing Windows 10 in 2016 and that neither of these two pieces of software are easily compatible with Windows 10

    Microsoft Money (v14) works fine on Windows 10.

    Yes, much to my relief my MS Money Sunset is working just fine.
