Thanks to everyone that answered my post. I have read a few horrror stories etc on this and other forums with regards to cashback, so gave it a wide berth as I can't be bothered with the hassle. I was prepared to spend up to £35 a month but got a really good deal in my eyes from Vodafone for £30 per month. I got: -
500mins x net
Unlimited texts
3mths free insurance (you can cancel, otherwise £6.95 mth)
1 months free internet
A free bluetooth headset
A free in car charger
Vodafone Passport
I could have had Stop the clock included which would have taken my monthly bill to £35 but will wait and see how I get on with the 500mins first. No point in spending money unnecessarily.Cheers

Absolutely thats what I want!!!
showed you the detail on vodafone 500+500 deal .. for free...
showed you o2 detail up to 800 mins & 500 texts for nearly free.
but then you've decided .... to spend £360 in a year,
as I can't be bothered with the hassle.......
No point in spending money unnecessarily.........
read a few horrror stories .......
"the hassle" ... being taking 5 bills in a year and posting them off .. to get £360 back .
"read a few horrror stories "... can only be the tiny percentage who don't get their money back .. not doing a cashback deal guarantee that you're not going to get your money back !!
each to their own .
i, and others ,did try to help with advice as you asked for.0 -
I suggest looking on dialaphone.co.uk, i just got my new contract on 02 £30 a month for 200 text and 200 minutes X network anytime on a 12 month contract with £170 cashback plus if you use Quidco you also get £60, this is with a free Sony Ericsson w880i
so the maths
30X12 = 360
170+60 = 230
360-230 = 130
130 / 12 = 10.83 on average a month
Theres loads for the budget you have with £35 a month with the same phone you get 400 Mins and 500 Texts and £205 cash back plus quidco £60;)
Now people worry about these cashback offers but i think dial a phone has got to be the most reliable for it, i had a look round and couldnt find any complaints!!!
If you do happen to get one this way send me a private message so i can give you my number for refer a friend

You would be better off looking for what you need rather than what your spending budge is.... ie a particular handset? or does the handset not matter?
how many minutes you need? how many texts?SLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24
Valued Opinions: £75 (paid) + £52.30 (received) + £4.50 (pending) = £131.80
StudentPanel: £250
