what credit card offers best interest free days per month

There are plenty of comparisons for 0% interest free cards for says 20months etc., but I am looking for a comparison on which card offers the most interest free days i.e. mbna used to be 56 days if the balance is paid off in full each month.
I use my credit card to budget daily and so pay it off in full every month, but my MBNA card has all of a sudden changed the interest free days, so now the statement is generated on the 12th and has to be paid in full by the 30th whereas until last month my statement was generated on the 5th of every month and payment due 30th so I had longer to pay the statement, this is now making my budgeting go to pot so I am looking to see what cards offer the longest interest free days per month but I cant find any comparisons for this just a multitude of offers for long term interest free credit

We have a Lloyds credit card and I'm pretty sure that the interst free period goes up to 56 days, depending on when it's used and how soon it shows on the account.
We always pay in full every month and it always seems to take an age to actually take the payments.
A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.0 -
Number of days is absolutely irrelevant for budgeting.
The stability of the DD date can be of some importance, but it has nothing to do with the number of days.

Surely it doesn't matter when the statement is generated as you pay it in full each month, so you do not have any interest to pay.
It may have a slight impact on the month when it changes from the 5th to the 12th as your statement will be for an extra 7 days ( i think from what you have said), but after that it should settle down.0 -

I seem to have less time to pay ? used to have from 5th statement date to 30th due date, now its 12th statement date and due date still 30th so have one weeks less monthly credit, But, you may be right I do have a cabbage for a brain at times, its the first month of the change & I always use two cards a month one finishes mid month and one Used to finish beginning of the month so coudl split up the total due at any one time this has just disrupted my pattern that has been working for me for years

I find your story very odd. Did you request the statement date change? From 5th to 12th is a big change and well outside any normal month to month variation depending on Sundays and bank holidays etc. If the statement due date had changed then the payment due date should have changed as well.
I think if MBNA had reduced the period between the statement date and the payment due date there would have been a lot of people complaining about it so my first question is are you sure? Could you have misread the statement info?
With regard to then length of time you have to pay, I think all credit cards are pretty similar here. Chargecards tend to give you less time.0 -
Pardon me, but from the responses above, is it therefore correct to assume that a maximum of 56 days interest free credit, is standard issue?
And moreover, that there is currently no credit card, in the UK, which offers more than 56 days of IFC (short term promo offers notwithstanding)?
Thanks in adv.0 -
Interest-free is pretty much standard, but 56 not. My recent Aqua statement is dated 11/10. The payment due date is 28/10.earlywormgetsthebird wrote: »Pardon me, but from the responses above, is it therefore correct to assume that a maximum of 56 days interest free credit, is standard issue?
On the website it says: "Maximum 51 days for purchases" that means that it can be even less than 51: http://www.aquacard.co.uk/credit-cards/
There is one CC in UK that doesn't offer any interest-free period, but more than 56 is very unlikely.0 -
Even if "over 56 days is very unlikely", nevertheless, if anyone knows of such a card (again excluding time limited promo offers) - then please state so here. Thank you.0

My Barclaycard (was a platinum but now it's orange - freedom reward or something???) gives me practically a month, though it does vary. The due-by date is the day before the next statement. See below for statement date and due-by date:
19MAY 15JUNE
16JUNE 15JULY
16JULY 17AUG
18AUG 15SEP
16SEP 15OCT
16OCT 16NOV
No other card I hold is quite as generous.0 -

Hi no I didnt request a statement change, I had my eye on the rollover day as I tend to hold of spending on the last couple of days so I get an extra months credit (i,e,say to kids I will get that in a few days when my card rolls over, or get some xmas pressies in, etc., (usually a day or two variation each month) but by the 8th I sent them a message to find out what was happening and their response was they were changing some accounts to make them inline with others ??? but to add insult to injury the due date stayed the same as normal and will do so from now on i.e. rollover day 12th due date 30th so less interest free days less time to pay0
