Sorry for not posting much but been working a few night shifts and work has blocked our internet access (unless it's work sites) so can only lurk from home now as i don't have a mobile that's in the 21st century either

Starting to panic a bit-not done much Christmas shopping. Not very much.At all.So far.For any of the kids.Oh dear.
After landing back in the country last Monday,I spent a couple of days recovering, and then went back to work on Friday.Worked both days on the weekend to catch up,then back to work proper today.
So no time for shopping.I did race out after putting kids to bed tonight, but that only gave me about 1.5 hours shopping, and some of that I spent buying for OH.And kids don't seem to be asking for anything,so that makes it harder.
Potting-wise,I was going to say I would pot my change from shopping tonight (included a few £1 coins). But then I remembered I have notes I can pot :j.
As a cleaner,I am now doing everyone's last cleans before Christmas.Yesterday I received 2 Christmas cards containing a £20 note each, today I received another one .Aren't people lovely?I really am spoilt.I suggested to OH that I would probably put it towards part of the (ongoing) house extension (was thinking a decoration for the kitchen,or new bed linen for our brand new bedroom.)He told me not to do that-put it towards something for myself. So not sure what to do with it now.Might pot £20 tonight, then think about anything else I need.Otherwise will probably pot the rest as well.

I managed to save £198 exactly last year.
Many thanks,

Hello there, Cheryl, it's always lovely to have folk wish to re-join and you're no exception so a warm welcome back! :grinheart As you realise, your No is no longer the correct one as I had a major overhaul of the list a couple of years ago as so many folk had stopped saving.
Please note that your new No is 020. The previous owner has not returned, if she does she's welcome to re-join and be given a new No. (Please swap your old No for the new one, thanks a lot.
Afternoon, SPCers, and I hope you have a great and dryer day! {{{Hugs}}} to all you family members feeling poorly, I do so hope you're all so very much better soon.
Thanks so very much for the help, jakes-mum, that's another shiny gold star for you! :staradmin NB all. The only thing I'd add (for all those helping me) is that many Nos have changed as so many folk were here prior to when I overhauled the list 2 years ago, so if you could kindly check the list first I'd be immensely grateful to you all. :kisses3: Also, to save getting a list of "some save some don't" if folk don't return to declare before the end of November then I begin replacing their names with those of new members: It's on the 1st Post and has been for over a year. Thanks everyone.
Wonderful news about the restaurant and voucher, jakes-mum! Take advantage of slow Januarys.
Don't worry, 32b3, I can see the [STRIKE]madness[/STRIKE] logic to your tale.Seriously though it does make a huge difference to the "keep in the bag" type brollies. Good potting and enjoy those Christmas lunches. I know...you will!! :rotfl:

Made my own so potted the funds. :T
Excellent work, 12 month challenge!!! :T What a saving that alone makes. Keep it up and you'll be saving hand over fist!!!!! :jTheCatsandDogsMother wrote: »I have reached the conclusion I read too much. Simply from potting the difference in ebook vs paper book prices I have potted 54.55
That's an amazing amount saved, rather than possibly being hoarded too, TheCatsandDogsMother, very wise!!
Don't worry, mummytummy, it's quite uderstandable, though I will admit to having missed you. Good to hear you pots still being loovveed. :heartpulsSaver-upper wrote:Potting-wise,I was going to say I would pot my change from shopping tonight (included a few £1 coins). But then I remembered I have notes I can pot :j.

ooooh lucky you, Saver-upper!!! :j Though isn't it so lovely when people show their appreciation, well done! You think about it for a while then make up your mind, though it was so sweet what your DH said.Good luck with your shopping!
You're most welcome, airportgirl. An excellent start with your potting, very good indeed!! :j You join in the banter just as soon as you wish, you're part of the family now.
Well done, Daddybear, and goo to see you dropping in.
Hi Helen, I guessed you were a bit run down, as I said yesterday, do try to get plenty of relaxation, at least at Christmas make the effort to do so. You obviously enjoy your Mum's company...tell her and revel in it. :kisses3: Good potting too.
Hello Kerry and well done with your potting also.
Well done for regular potting, Missu, and very wise not to keep account of it too. Good to see you drop by.
Right, I'm off shopping with my dear hubby, see you later.:xmassmile Enjoy the day, Potters....and if possible keep feeding your pots...even if it's just a little! _party_

Didn't pot much over the weekend but emptied my purse this morning and found £5.89; so in the pot it goes :T
