    Hellooooooooooooooo Potterssssssssssssssss

My GOD!! Was it cold, wet and windy here today! I could hardly stand up at the market this morning and we're in the east

Have spent this evening making an Egyptian head dress with DD for her homework project. It has taken every ounce of my self restraint NOT to take over and bling the carp out of it :rotfl: I have been very good and just been in charge of the scissors and double sided tape, she got to do the fun bit of sticking gems on and pretending they were fabulous jewels :( (I like that bit :o) It does look very good though and we have written her a little 1 minute speech for when she has to show the class what she's done :D

I am now about to recommence my next crochet project as i've just learnt how to crochet roses :j :j

OKkkkkkkkkkkk, potting news, potting news, do I have some potting news? . . . . welllll, there was a lovely 18p in shrapnel in my purse AND a £2 coin that I seem to have forgotten to pot

Hello, late to the party here but please could I join?

I did actually start this pot challenge in the New Year (I have two on the go, one for a holiday (Needs to be opened in early October) and one for something else that I can do in November.

I am hoping to save £1500 overall.

I'd love to join in if it's still possible, it's a great idea!

No target for me this time, I just want to see how much I can squirrel away this year :)

It's never too late to join us, Kayteehee and clairelm. A very warm welcome to you! It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Have fun saving and enjoy the banter. You'll find your number below this welcome message. Please read through post 1as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 3rd Nov.

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Kayteehee - your No is 124, one that has been abandoned so it needs lots of TLC which I'm sure you'll give it in abundance. :DHowever, if the previous owner changes her mind she can always re-join and have another. :) BTW your Target of £1500 is alongside your name, best wishes in reaching it.

clairelm - Please note your No is 131. Your new No, we're fully aware, will be cherished by you, especially as it was abandoned after it's old member failed to return. However, if she changes her mind then she can always re-join and have another. :) BTW your Target of £1,000 is alongside your name, best wishes in reaching it.

Very many thanks, 32b3 and Lynne, for keeping things going whilst I've not been here, you're gems the pair of you and so deserving of your gold stars! :staradmin :staradmin

A very Good afternoon all SPCers! :grinheart I hope you all really enjoyed the weekend, despite the weather. Try doing the same with the week ahead too. Keep safe and well everyone.
For all those of you who are poorly or a little low for whatever reason, I hope you soon feel so very much better. Here are some {{{hugs}}} to help you through.
Finding £3 in the bedroom helped boost this week to £20 :)
Happy that I'm getting well through the higher amounts.

Also got £32.44 paid into the bank from fuel expenses for going to court to give evidence so I have transferred £32.50 across to my credit card as it only actually cost me about £15 in fuel and parking that day I think!

I'm so pleased you got a little something for all the trials (excuse the pun) you endured, MrsC....tobe, well deserved too!

    Well done, Lynne!
Sue - you have give me a new number but I've noticed no one has been allocated my old one (005) on the first page so was wondering if I could keep that number or if it's been reallocated but not updated.

Many apologies, ETO, but I've now put it right for you so that you're back to 005, sorry to mess you about and thanks for bringing it to my atention. :D

Morning all and hope you are all well. Sorry I haven't been posting, but I have been potting.

Welcome to new potters and glad to see the old (as in experienced) potters are still active.

My pot at the minute has £140 and hopefully on target.

I've had a couple of holidays over the winter, but free now until October. I also have a couple of one night Travelodge bookings for the summer to look forward to. Can't wait to start the gardening.

It's really wonderful to see you back, Lynsey! :j I hope you enjoyed your holiday/s and that the realy did you good. Great saving! ;)

It's so good to hear that the Christening went well, Lucy, it's always great to have family catch-ups. We have a family Wedding soon as our DGD is getting married in 5 weeks, we're all so excited and have been shopping yet again today! :happyloveDH finally got his suit, he looks wonderful too!

What a day indeed, siju! Though thankfully we didn't lose our power. I do hope yours is back on now, and stays that way. I'd love to have seen you and your dog doing your crablike, sideways walk. :rotfl: Happy days..really!

Good luck with your next project, jakes-mum.

Sorry this is only a short one, folks, but it's been a hectic day and isn't over yet. I must push off round to DD's now as our DGD's still there and has some of or shopping!

Enjoy a lovely week, SPCers, keep safe, dry and healthy - and forever potting!! ;)

    Sue xx

  • I know I haven't posted in a while, but I have been potting the split in my change each week still. Husband is putting his shrapnel in when he has some.
  • Jakes mum the headdress sounds fab, I'd have to hold back from taking over as well.

Made a new store card holder yesterday to tidy my purse and try and be more organised, just found the little overspill card Holder I had for the excess ones and it had a £5 tucked in it behind the cards. Don't know how long that's been there do it will go in the pot. What I didn't know I had I won't miss and it all adds to the final total.

You always sound so busy sue I don't know how you keep up with everyone's news.
