supermarkets generally dont like being situated too close to each other because it reduces business for both. op may have a tesco nearby but not sainsburys.
these "fake" deals are annoying, they have so many waivers and are really just done to get the headline out there and make the consumer feel like they're saving and getting the best price when theyre not.0
