Removals logistics on moving day - buy/sell same day

    If the removal firm does the packing they should pack and clear the house the day before. This leaves you a couple of hours cleaning time and then you call them next day on completion.

    It was a very leisurely move for us. Wife went to work and I was redundant for the day. I felt bad not doing anything but I made about 50 cups of tea and bought them pizza for lunch.

    I certainly didn't want to move out on completion day. The thought of a van load of people waiting to move in would have stressed me no end. I went back in completion morning, left the keys on the side with an information pack about the neighbours and shut the door

    Information pack must have been misinterpreted, they have ignored the neighbours apparently

    As for new build. It took two hours for key release after funds were sent. Solicitor was on a long lunch. They must have thick skin because I could never descend on the wine bar for two hours knowing people are waiting
