Risking the wrath of The Last Username I would suggest a laser for auto duplex unless your duplex printing needs particularly include colour printing. I use my Samsung mono laser for bulk and duplex printing, and my HP all in one for the few colour prints I must have and any scanning/copying I need to do.

  • TESCO!! THey always come up trumps.
Just bought a new HP all in one for £25.00.
    I'm happy.
I like HP for reliability and just get the cartridges refilled.

I also got a HP all in one (something like a 5510 but not sure - it was a couple of years ago - about £50). I'd always got Epson before cos I thought the ink would be cheaper, but the original HP cartridges for mine are as cheap as Epson. Got it from Tesco using club-card vouchers. Our big Tesco usually has the cartridges in for the printers it sells, so might be worth you looking and pricing up a printer and set of inks for comparison. We print about 4 pages a month, and the last set of ink we got has lasted more than a year, although I have to go through the clean option on the printer more frequently than I do at work.
Mine is wi-fi enabled, which is worth it for me - we have the printer upstairs in the spare room, PC is downstairs, and we can also print to it from the tablet - I'd recommend it if you are wi-fi'd up.
