Why would anyone with lots of children have time to read posts on the MSE forum?

Surely there must be some large families in this country that actually do a very good job at it without relying on benefits to do so. Aren't there any super rich ones who happen to believe in raising many children?

I suppose they do exist, but they would have no interest in showing themselves on such a show because however well they might do, the programme would have to show an accumulation of failings for it to be worth airing.

From what I understand the only benefit they claim is CB...Their bakery is very successful and income to high to claim Tax credits???

It would have to be bringing in mega £££ for them not to qualify! Anyway it was confirmed on another forum site that they do claim child tax credits, I believe it was their eldest son that revealed that it was not Just CB.

Not that it really matters to me, but even though they do work, they are not self sufficient, as their welfare bill would be high with that many dependants.

If the kids are under 19, they'd be getting over £800 a month just in child benefit!

And this is why you should never volunteer to be on such shows. The producers are not interested in "normal everyday life", they want the viewers to be up in arms and complaining on social media about people scrounging benefits.
  • What a strange place to make such a request. Maybe an ad in one of the tabloids would have been better :D
