Balance Transfer

I applied for a new credit card and was successful with a credit limit of £1000. During my application I requested a balance transfer which totals more than £1000. Does this mean that I can only BT a max of £1000 or this part of the successful application?

Yes. Possibly a bit less because most cards don't allow you to balance transfer the credit limit. Maybe 90% to 95%.

Hi there, I have the same problem, I have gone through the trouble of applying to find that my " limit" was less than what i want to transfer, so what do i do now, transfer the rest of the amount onto another card and risk another credit search? im confused where to go from here
