ebay money laundering?

If it's Amazon apps you need to be logged in to Amazon with the account you bought them on to be able to use them. I use a business and personal account on Amazon, have apps on my personal account, if I'm ever logged into my business account I get error messages on the apps.Flyonthewall wrote: »If it's anything illegal they won't get away with selling it on ebay.
Amazon have done deals. A few days ago it was £65 of apps free through the Amazon appstore. Completely legit, the apps all have value but it wouldn't cost a thing to get them during the offer.
Course, with apps like that there are bound to be ones people don't want so while they have a sale value it doesn't mean it has that much value to others. It may also slow down the phone if OP were to add 20+ apps.
I don't think it would work doing that offer on multiple phones for account reasons, but OP may have a similar type of offer in mind.
I can't see any value in selling a phone with apps on, apart from maybe program files of some kind. I think I'd rather buy a phone with no apps of any kind on so I can pick and choose my own..0 -

I absolutely agree with you. I would much rather buy a brand new phone with guarantees and pick my own apps instead of getting 'a bargain' with all the apps downloaded. Say, 6 months down the line something did go wrong with the phone, it seems far too much hassle to have to return it back to seller for them to return back to where they have purchased it from.0 -

Yeah, that's what I thought, but like I say they may know of a similar offer like that.I can't see any value in selling a phone with apps on, apart from maybe program files of some kind. I think I'd rather buy a phone with no apps of any kind on so I can pick and choose my own.
Me neither. I like my mobiles to be completely new and any apps I want I add myself. Highly unlikely someone will have added the exact apps I want and I wouldn't trust them not to have used the phone for anything else.0 -

Theres no issue, because i tried to do this today over the phone at a catalogue company and they said i was money laundering? Surely 50% of people on ebay is then guilty of money laundering?
I don't understand this - firstly, if they are knowledgeable enough about money laundering regulations, surely they would know that if they suspected you, they shouldn't tell you this as it would be considered as tipping you off. They perhaps told you that they needed certain things from you due to money laundering regulations?ally.0 -
Not quite as simple as buy it for £100 and sell it for £120 and make £20 profit, ebay and paypay fees, postage and packing will eat most of that.
Then you forgot to add in some margin for returns and faulty items. A buyer may damage the phone and claim its faulty and send it back.
Ebay/Paypal will refund them leaving you with a phone that wont be covered under the original warranty because its user abuse.
10 phones you need to make all your money and be in profit on the 6th one you sell, the last 4 should be all profit.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Don't forget to factor in that you'll get Nigerians constantly trying to steal the phones from you.0

That seems to account for about 99.9% of all sellers on ebay anyway...
