Wednesday 4th November - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym .

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:

Late start for me today folks - emergency holiday so not a work day
Thanks for starting with the correct day Ziggy - I'll take this as a development opportunity ;0

I'll read the rest of the thread shortly but I need to get this down before I forget

Emergency holiday had to be taken as we're getting a tonne of logs delivered and they can't guarantee that they'll deliver them down the drive - so if they're dumped at the road side I'll need to move them into the log shed today..... (please let him deliver down the drive)

    Proactive MSE-ing
    • All meals from stores
    • Start search for Dad's NI number - no idea how I'll find this - it does not seem to be on any of the paperwork I have but to query the lost pensions with the government website I need this info
    • DH called I*ea re mattress complaint to try to get this replaced
    Winter prep
    • Hunt for remaining stuff for Black Out Box. I seem to have misplaced the battery alarm clock and the wee willie winkie candle holders (these are great for moving around the house) so hunt is on for these
    Christmas prep
    • Look at Christmas shelf and make some more room in it - then tally with Christmas list - will man I don't have to buy some presents - I'll do this today
    Round tuits
    • Clean out a last drawer in living room unit
Good habit forming (28 days to set a habit into daily routine or something like that - I'm going for 1 a week)
    • Post on here once a day 10/28
    • Get up at 6 am on work days 3/28- you can see I need more practice at being up and co-ordinated (I have counted this today as it wasn't a work day but I was still up sharpish)
    Happy cheapness and freeness
    • Watch more of series 4 of "The Walking Dead" once log man has been
    • Watch HFW waste programme from the other day. We didn't get it here in Scotland but I taped it on one of the English BBC channels
Painful - but gotta be done
    • Check banks
    • Clean out another kitchen cupboard to up the Mins game total
    • Cleaned drains in en-suite - there was a smell - hopefully I've sorted it
    Mins game - 17/465
No Mins game played yesterday - but I can see a scavenge around he house coming on shortly

    So - off I go just now - have a good y'all
