New gas meter reading is HUGE...

Its a 2006 meter so its obviously ok. C_Mababejive has got it right.Meter fitter was half asleep. Half of them I follow round dont fill in the sticky label anyway.The meter will be good for many years or until a smart gas meter replaces it0

Hi, the sticker has the correct date on it 29/10/2015 so they must have just been daydreaming when they wrote the reading down or something...
In regards to getting it sorted, I'd rather not have to have someone come out, because my GF booked the day off for them to fit the meters the first time and they didnt show up which was frustrating. The second time a family member wasn't busy so they could sit in until the meter fitters arrived. But getting this resolved without sending someone out would be best as we'd rather not risk wasting another days holiday.0 -

Possibly a photograph of the meter to the supplier is proof showing the make /year / reading. I agree it does nt warrant an appointment to view.By the way, no shows on meter fitting appts collect approx £25 a time0
