E.ON UK Power/iChoosr Collective Oct 15 - cheaper than uSwitch/MSE deals
Options
I posted this yesterday in another thread but thought it deserved one of its own.
UKPower/iChoosr have announced a new collective deal with EON.
For me, the uSwitch site tells me its about £90 cheaper than uSwitch's own collective deal when comparing both fuels and over £50 if I look at electricity alone. And as the uSwitch deal was cheaper than the recent MSE deal, I suspect most would be better off changing to this new offer though it obviously depends on your usage..
Note: I have no connection to any of the above companies but would be interested on your thoughts about this new tariff - and Eon customers get to change (again!) without penalty (lucky them!)
Does anyone know if you can get additional cash back on this deal from somewhere?
Regards
Sunil

When I looked at this my annual cost was the same as the MSE deal, uSwitch beats both (barely).
Are you comparing the annual cost rather than the annual projection, which assumes you'll spend some time on the standard tariff?0 -

It may depend in which region you are in.
For London the ex VAT unit prices are:
UK Power: gas=2.784, elec=9.486
MSE: gas=2.978, elec=10.080
uSwitch: gas=2.978, elec=10.140
though I see MSE are now also promoting a new BG deal (with cashback)

Standing charge was same as uswitch but slightly more per kWh. Would cost me £12/yr more with ichoosr.
Guess it depends on where you live0 -
Where can I look up this tariff without signing up for emails?
I can find a UKPower page which names the iChoosr E.on tariff, says enter your postcode, then fails to include it in the results.0 -

I think the only way without signing up is go to one of the other comparison websites (uSwitch etc) - pretend its the tariff you are already on(edit: and when asked choose an end date well into the future - i.e. December 2016) and see how they calculate your "current" estimated bills..
You may need to do this twice - once pretending you have dual fuel with them and the second time electricity only - to get both the options iChoosr offer.
iChoosr appear to be implementing Ofgen rules correctly and only letting those signed up, having direct access to the prices.
Personally, I have decided to transfer our electricity supply to Eon on this deal - I prefer my gas supplier to remain different as its cheaper for us - even with any dual fuel discount.

Signed up yesterday to website to see what difference it would make on my usage - in my area (South Wales) it was cheaper slightly than the previous EON MSE or EHL deals -but ~ £20 pa more than the USwitch deal that I've just moved to.0

It was a good idea, but only the only iChoosr tariff listed is the one expiring last week.
Maybe I'll have to sign up. I have a suspicion they might send too many emails though.
It's quite noticeable how many collective tariffs there are under E.on. They haven't had a decent tariff of their own for about a year.0 -

The tariff is called E.ON iChoosr Collective Oct 15 which appears as an option on uSwitch here.
Having signed up, I have actually been sent a sheet with the prices for each region so if you know which yours is - may be able to post them here.

A question for the E.ON reps if they read this.
On switching via iChoosr, I got an confirmation email saying that E.ON will send me a welcome email/letter in the next 3 weeks and its from that date the two week cooling off period starts..
Can you just confirm how long its taking iChoosr to send you details of customers switching to EON from their website - and how long its currently taking E.ON to send out their initial emails.?
The uSwitch and MSE threads seemed to suggest a much smaller time - less than 3 weeks for the entire switch rather than upto 5 and a half weeks.. (3 weeks + 2 weeks + 3 days)
Thanks
