E.ON UK Power/iChoosr Collective Oct 15 - cheaper than uSwitch/MSE deals

A question for the E.ON reps if they read this.
On switching via iChoosr, I got an confirmation email saying that E.ON will send me a welcome email/letter in the next 3 weeks and its from that date the two week cooling off period starts..
Can you just confirm how long its taking iChoosr to send you details of customers switching to EON from their website - and how long its currently taking E.ON to send out their initial emails.?
The uSwitch and MSE threads seemed to suggest a much smaller time - less than 3 weeks for the entire switch rather than upto 5 and a half weeks.. (3 weeks + 2 weeks + 3 days)
Thanks
Sunil
Good morning gt94sss2 and welcome to E.ON
I've had a word with the guys that deal with the collective switches and they've said this is correct for ichoosr if you're changing supplier.
I understand this is a bit longer, it's what's been agreed, but I will be passing on feedback about the customer journey for future collectives if it's coming across confusion etc.
Product switches are about 10 days.
I hope this clears things up.

Thanks for your reply and the welcome!
Its disappointing that the process may take so long with iChoosr and I would indeed be grateful if you could feed this back.
The time scales agreed appear to be that of the old switching system - and for some reason not the quicker 2.5/3 week system (including the 2 week notice period) for changing provider that Ofgem announced last year - and which is being followed in the case of the MSE/uswitch tariffs.
It could even have been quicker for us to go on on of those and then apply for a product/tariff switch to iChoosr at this rate! (which just isn't logical)
Thanks

I understand and feedback taken and will be passed on!
I can't specifically say much about why etc as It's something that's out of my hands, but I can certainly say what our customers are telling me.

Helena,
Good news - I received the initial email from E.ON this morning - just 3/4 days after submitting the switch request.. and there you had me worrying it might be weeks before I did
Best,

The tariff is called E.ON iChoosr Collective Oct 15 which appears as an option on uSwitch here.
Having signed up, I have actually been sent a sheet with the prices for each region so if you know which yours is - may be able to post them here.
Regards
Sunil
Oh, I think I did see that.
I was probably confused that it seems to be named after the start month rather than the end.
edit: Now I've looked at this again and thought a little. Compared to the current Scottish Power tariff here, it would save £22 a year, £30 more for gas and £52 less for electricity.
It seems odd that the tariffs diverge so much. But considering most of the gas is used in winter it would probably work out almost the same per month overall until spring. I could consider splitting just the electricity to this iChoosr, but I think I'll wait.0
