Vent - the dumbing down of "operation"

I bought the board game operation last night. It used to be a fun game that was quite informative as it contained the different parts of the human body and I think it aided children's education.
I was horrified when I got home and discovered that all the human body parts have been replaced with commercial products eg iPhones, headphones, trainers etc..
It's a sad reflection on modern society when an educational board game gets dumbed down like this. I would suspect the number of kids who want to become doctors will now sadly go down

Hasbro were probably worried about being sued by the parents of children who were scared/horrified/terrified, and couldn't sleep at night after playing with a game that involved them taking pretend bones and other human bits items out of a plastic body.0 -
Return it and buy a vintage one from a charity shop.0

I think any child that is scared/horrified/terrified by playing the board game operation is doomed to a lifetime of being bullied!0 -

You know that, I know that and any sensible person knows that but with the amount of frivolous compo claims that seem to occur nowadays, I'm convinced it would only have been a matter of time before someone tried to get a few £'s from the makers.0 -
