Bank Account Problems . HELP!

Hi all,
I am furious with my current bank, Nationwide, as they have 'accidently' frozen my account for the fourth time in a year. Crucially this nearly resulted in me very nearly losing my house, as I was unable to pay the deposit on my as it was frozen. Embarassingly, I went to pay for something today but again it didn't work. I have just rang Nationwide and they said that again they have accidently frozen it as there is a query with my address?!?! Has anyone else had similar issues? What rights do I have? Aside from switching banks, is there anything else I can do?
Thanks all,
Charlie

Why do they keep closing your account?
Why did you not complain to them after it happened 'accidentally' for the second time?0 -
I'm confused why you are sticking with them? I would have already switched by now.All that glitters is not gold.0

I've not had any problems with my nationwide.
Complaint my result in a small bribe to keep you quiet if you can be bothered. After you get one (if offered), switch banks and get a switching incentive.
First Direct have good customer service. Been with them a few years and no problems. They've offering £100 incentive for opening an account.0 -
If what the op has said is correct and there really is no known reason to explain this (such as bad conduct of the account or large payments into the account from dubious sources to buy houses etc) then I do think there are valid grounds for complaint due to the frequency with which this error is being made and the inconvenience suffered on multiple occasions.0

Hello,
Basic bank accounts allow you to pay in and take out money but they don’t offer all the services and facilities that you might expect from a standard account. Alternatively a bad credit account offers more features, but usually charges a monthly fee.0 -

Not sure what your post has to do with the initial query....0 -

Absolutely nothing, just another spammer.0 -
Thanks for your help everyone. Can't switch at the minute because in essence my account doesn't exist. Who could I actually complain to? I say this because their complaints department is terrible and do nothing to help me0
