For bank accounts they are paid monthly, it's likely you are not meeting the requirements for those accounts?

...one of the key requirements is to wait until the end of the first banking day of the month! ;)

joe, you're right, my TSB interest hasn't appeared yet. I think we can safely ignore Futuristic's unhelpful post.

Edit: Although of course YB is right too, it should appear overnight.

Second working day of the month. The 1st was a Sunday.

Due to the way the systems work you won't get it until the Tuesday if the 1st falls on the weekend.

Quite helpful actually, clearly OP didn't read the terms which would state when it would be paid out. Which he should have done when signing up. And not all accounts post interest on the 1st or 2nd of the month for example Nationwide.

The TSB Plus T&Cs state that interest is...
Calculated daily from when you open or upgrade to a Classic Plus account (or if that day is not a working day, the next working day). Payable

on the first working day of each month
    • on the first £2,000 in your account.
...so even if the OP had read them they could be forgiven for asking the question today. :)

I concede that the BoS and Lloyds T&Cs are more accurately written.

Not sure you've understood the point I was making, but never mind.
  • Mine has not come through either. This often happens when the 1st is on the weekend. I expect it'll be there in the morning, wednesday at the latest. They do account for the extra days with the required few extra pennys so I wouldnt be too concerned.
