    I have had some trouble with a similar situation and I found a great prouct that is designed to secure your garden items. what I found was they would get into the garden but then because they could no longer take the expensive garden items they eventually gave up :). I found it on ebay searching for garden security anchors. it's a great reasonably priced £24.95 and very easy to install and keeps your mind at rest knowing that your items are safe. for example BBQ's and my little brothers bike were the main targets for the thieves.
