Camera noise reduction!

Hello just bought a Smart Ultra 6, good phone, especially for the money.
Camera decent outdoors and with flash.
However indoors without flash the camera software is obviously trying to compensate for image noise by turning on incredibly heavy noise reduction, that leaves on awful paintbrush effect, removing all fine detail from the picture!
I would much rather have some image noise under these conditions than over zealous noise reduction.
Doesn't seem to be any control over noise reduction. You can control EV and ISO which I'm impressed by.
So I have two questions:
Is there some way of turning off noise reduction?
If not, is there a good camera app available on google play that doesn't apply noise reduction?
