    euw cant think of anything worse in a bathroom than coloured suites ( hmm except maybe carpets!)

    )

    Well I would never go without a carpet in my bathroom, and I love my burgundy suite, I detest white bathroom suites, so boring and samey.

    I actually ripped out a boring white suite to have it installed.;)

    Oh this thread is so cathartic. I can't wait to get rid of my dove grey bathroom (always looks dirty) and peach cloakroom (a bit too vivid and the basin and toilet don't match). There's a website with a colour chart of discontinued colours at http://www.bathroom-ceramics.co.uk/colour_chart.html so you can pick whatever colour takes your fancy.

    On offer is an approximately 20 year old, maybe a bit more Dundee City Council "Champagne complete bathroom suite". Yip, ceramic sink with chips (no pedestal as they didn't install posh things like that back in those days), toilet with plastic cistern (fag burn on it from previous tennant - I don't smoke) and bath complete with the odd chip.

    The bath chips were reported in the hope going by the age of the bathroom suite I'd get a new white suite fitted, alas I got excited over nowt and the local council got someone up from Glasgow of all places (2+ hour drive each way) to re-emamel my chips to get a few more years out of it. I'm sure it would've been cheaper to replace it.

    Bath still looks a bit grotty to me due to it's age, but because it's a council house they won't let you replace with suite without permission. Can't afford to anyway, but if anyone wants any parts of the bathroom suite, please feel free to start negotiations as to what colour is on offer.

    Oh and the champagne is a nightmare to find colours to match to be honest.

    As for the advocado, friend down the road has an advocado suite in pristene condition that another housing association refused to replace as it would be for cosmetic reasons only and she moans about trying to decorate her bathroom too.

    Ex in - laws had a torquoise suite in their house and I've never seen a lemon one, and think that would be quite nice.

    PS. This thread has certainly made me giggle and it's good to know I'm not alone with the champagne suite.
